History of Royal Crown Academy, Nsukka

Royal Crown Academy Nsukka was founded in 2001 by the founder, Pastor Favour Emeka Onyiloha. It began with Junior Secondary School (specifically JS1) with only seven (7) students. By 2001, it was officially approved as a post-primary school by Enugu State Ministry of Education of the State; it had its First Junior Secondary School Examination (JSSCE) in 2007 and recorded an excellent performance.
In 2007, the school was approved by WAEC and NECO bodies to be taken WAEC and NECO examination in the school for her students. Interestedly, for four years in these examinations, races, ROCAN has not recorded failure or been in the black book of these external examining bodies.
OUR VISION:The foremost feature of the ROCAN School is a transformation paradigm shift of academic mentalities migrating towards professional instincts.
OUR MISSION:Our mission is to train students on how to manage and market their talents for profit.

THE SCHOOL’S ACHIEVEMENT
1.    Academic Achievement
    (a) Introduction of students’ Micro-teaching programme by Ezike Sunday C and  Nweke Prince on 3rd April, 2009 for Royal Crown Academy students acquisition of teaching skills and experience.
   (b) Winner and the Maiden Road Safety Quiz Competition for secondary schools in Nsukka Local Government Area organized by Nsukka Road Safety command on November, 2010. 
2.  Achievement in Sports 
ROCAN brake a record  un the field of football for being a three times winner, in a consecutive order, of Shell/NNPC Inter-Schools Cup Football trophy in Nsukka Zone i.e. 2009, 2010 and 2011 encounters lead by Nweke Prince. 
    Socio-cultural Achievement: 
(a) Introduction of queenship and kingship system in the school for students’ socio-cultural development.   
    In this regard, the following students have assumed the offices of the queen and king of ROCAN

     (b) Introduction of students’ made Arts Exhibition on 20th Match, 2009.
4.    Other Achievement:
   (a) Inauguration of Royal Crown Academy Road Safety Club on 19th October, 2010.
   ( b) Introduction and formation of Royal Crown students’ party for elections of Students’ Union Government on 24th October, 2009.
    (c) Establishment of a new Computer Training Unit by Mrs. Amaka Onyiloha in 2011.
